    . Exactly....and i don't what is mumbo.jumbo simulation talks means
  2. yagi

I must repeat my question : Do you have on your wifi card any program which show you signal strength? So it is very simple to test..in which case is better or larger signal ,with isolation from metal rod or without isolation. I can bet without that better reception is with isolation between active plate and metal rod. please let me know do you can do that test!

Thank you jomy on simulation. vars-cat forget about simulation ,every simulation show optimal or ideal values and don't represent real things. Do you have on your wifi card any program which show you signal strength? If you have such a program you will see a difference in signall strenght when active plate is connected to rod and when is not . There is no speculation about that and i know that from my experience. This antenna as such is asimetric half wave dipole and as such require isolation between active element and radiator/reflector which must be grounded.

Thank you jomy on simulation. vars-cat I am really dissapointed in your explanation, active plate 68mm dia MUST BE ISOLATED from metal rod, big last metal plate is REFLECTOR 90mm which there is no need to be isolated from metal rod, finished copper plate can be spayed with metal primer to protect copper.
  5. yagi

heh yes, and most correct also would be to use plastic rod with plastic screws
  6. yagi

Just look at the profile picture ,it is easy to build, and remember ..active plate must have be ISOLATED from ROD/ bar
  7. yagi

In fact it is not hard to build this antenna at all. First you must have isolation tube beteween rod and active plate like this:
  8. Here is another loop antena for tv
  9. WELL yes Inc-royavle ..pff incredibile 16dB with reflector and reletive easy to build!
  10. It is DVB-T - digital video broadcasting - terrestrial ok so range is 350MHz,,,, so you mean is he can cover whole range He can if the size is for 470MHz...
  11. bandwith of 350Mhz ? what is that ? i am not sure...here where i am there is no any TV station that emit on 350Mhz in DBV-T all of them are above 470MHz so if you can pick up lower then you must recalc biquad dimensions which must be more larger
  12. For example like i do, i doubt in first what to build and now i am happy with reception with my double biquad with aluminim wires and standard baloon transformer
  13. Hello boys I think that building patch antenna for tv UHF band is a pure wasting of material and it is large and ia heavy, it is something like you wish to drive a cae but u use truck.. there are far elegant solutions
  14. I use F connector with my new patch-yagi or wifi gun antenna and work ,also i use kO-Ka 3000 75 ohm coax
  15. Hello Just to let you know with just 3 elements reflector, patch and director i get 46% of signal from 400m distance.
  16. yagi

i see this on a given site link by you there is a patch even 60,5mm and first director 58 mm instead 54 mm
  17. yagi

I mean size or diameter of patch and disector. first is 68 then i see 62 mm which one is proper? that is why i asking
  18. yagi

Jomy I am confused with all that different sizes of patch and first director which one give best gain ?
  19. Hi JoMy Well in my case not, i build this type of antenna for 2.4ghz few months back and i can tell you that signal gain is lower than with ordinary double biquad. So following logic i build this Double biquad for TV reception and work really well even without baloon tranformer. I don't have time to exeperiment with this one for TV ,i am busy with oter things.
  20. Thisd "Liver pate caps" are really good and i have in plane to make one
  21. I am not sure ...what is SW fractal loop antenna ???
  22. I like da Silva antenna it should be easy to replicate ..
  23. I am in processof building your version with wires so i will see how this one work.. i hope better than mine !
  24. WOW jomy this dude is very intensive ....
  25. WOW super strong ??? looks like flying soucer UFO...maybe is out of this world
