I am wanting to make a CP patch antenna for 1.3GHz, but am struggling to find a design with dimensions online.

I did a simulation of this antenna but with an elliptical cut in the patch, which provides a wider bandwidth

    and for the 2.4GHz frequency

Hmm, that design looks easy and simple to make.
Already ordered 4 Hole SMA jack with long center pin (17mm).
when i get it will try this design.
But try to make it on 1mm FR4 - i got it few square meters :)
I suppose that it will resonate little bit higher.

    try this...

    Hi.
As you can see. Found this forum very useful.
Here's my try. Used 1mm fr4 (tu be true it was 1.1) for both PCB's.
Cable that i've used is RG402.

Measured, and that design resonates over 6gh. I think it happens cos you simulated design with nylon spacers.
    Here it's my try...

  3. Hi to all :)
I'm looking for design of antenna that has:

    - wide beam width
    - receives horizontal and vertical polarization
    - has one port
    - gain isn't so important - 5-9dbi will be enough.
    - can be made from FR4 (1mm) - I have small CNC so for me it's easiest way.

I know that I can use here antenna with circular polarization - but when will combine linear with circular i will loose 2.6dbi.

I've been looking for such designs but didn't found.

    Cheers
