Raytron 16dbi & 19dbi mod

Hi , guys it would be nice if some generous soul simulate this one...

The original is 6 elements over 0.787 ptfe , 2.1 dielectric constant...

OK , "dude" ...already built it on a notebook ABS cover...with aluminum foil...CST simulation would be great to fine tunning it...

PD: I'm NOT getting 16dbi and a lot of VSWR

ABS should be like 2.8 of dielectric constant and 1.5 mm width ...try to keep 5mm to aluminum reflector inside , but it's tricky...not a lot of space

some wifi cards don't like it so it must be high VSWR...channels  from 1 to 11 all show up...poor signal though...

here's the model...not exact just  taken from that picture...

can't make it dance though...

Maybe my settings are wrong for the solver... i tried waveguide and discrete port...TO NO AVAIL

try with teflon ...2.1 dielectric constant...Original material ...close to 0.7...(0.762, 0.787mm)

PD: I was gettin LOTS of APs...but too litle signal... less than -62dbm...and a bunch with more than -

It SHOULD have one BIG LOBE...in the CENTER (16dbi) and some smaller ones around...IMHO

“Having carefully examined the cable entry point in the photos of the“ original ”, I came to the conclusion that there is not a“ bare ”microstrip, but something like a“ coplanar waveguide. ”Therefore, I provided for such an“ earthen ”polygon at the input

YUP...it's like they're "Forcing" the wave to make a 90 DEGREES through the FEEDING LINE...IMHO...(it must be important) I'll keep you informed if i have success...to 15 or 16dbis...
