  1. my mistake , i call "radome" to ANY dielectric enclosure ...
  2. i'm pretty sure that if i ADD a plastic RADOME to it....it would go to 2.4ghz (people forget that radome lowers frequency a lot!)
  3. Don't know what they say ...but if you replace a CHEAP PE coax (50ohms) with a GOOD PPolyurethane or teflon coax (75ohms)...the benefits i assume would surpass z missmatch VSWR (by accident) "In electrical engineering, an impedance mismatch occurs when the input impedance of an electrical load does not match the output impedance of the signal source, resulting in signal reflection or an inefficient power transfer"
  4. WELL...never forget that PLASTIC ENCLOSURES are important in lowering the Fr...must be that...
  5. Хочу такую прошу начерти другое 75 ом,у нас в деревне не валяется пенапластироль ",,, I want this please draw another 75 ohm, in our village there is no foam plastic" 75ohms cable on a 50ohms card would give 1.5 VSWR...NOT GOOD!
  6. notice 8 internal patchs at HIGHER frecuency than 8 external patchs...two paks of resonance...it seems.. PS: the SCREWS are very IMPORTANT! there
  7. DROP like could be nice...
  8. i dont' undestand this part ...; 9mm desde reflector to cara de cobre PCB 6 mm entre reflector y placa cobre no cara de cobre. must be 6mm to square...?
  9. It's a MIRROR symmetry in the VERTICAL AXIS... 1800.dxf 1800.dwg
  10. the cst file is there https://www.wifi-antennas.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=7802 ...what you need dxf...dwg...?
  11. Efficiency is low...i blame the FR4 ... so far...(not sure though)
  12. YUP...EVERYTHING changes...changing substrates....have you worked with STYROFOAM ? (polystirene foam) if so...what constant and tangent loss should i use...some say 1.11 dielectric and some 0.003 loss...LOW DENSITY foam...
  13. I know , you hate DIELECTRICS! JOMY ,Thought , yo could give it a GO at the simulation , i get 18.8 dbi , low , very low EFFICIENCY
  14. http://www.lan23.ru/forum/showthread.php?t=152 https://web.archive.org/web/20080717031434/https://topacho.wordpress.com/2007/11/13/paso-a-paso-construccion-antena-inalambrica-tipo-panel-18-dbi-parte1/
  15. Nice series patch...Measurements...? (or .cst...)
  16. https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/uploads/articles/2.4GHz_Wi-Fi_Antenna_.5_Wavelength_Dipole.png In the sleeve dipole the top element is normally simple the coax center conductor extended. This is also normally left with its insulation intact, which means its length must be compensated for by the insulation's permittivity. (the antenna is SHORTER than an a free dipole ; wich is (speed of light/frecuency ) / 2 )
  17. HALF Wavelength with stub balun 1:1 (reduced in length due to dielectric effect ) so it will end up being two sections of about 30 mm IMHO
  18. Yea...i've known what VSWR...from the ...ARRL BOOKs ...back in the 90's ... is...but i think the antenna is too capacitive...WHERE can i see the REACTIVE Z...? and find out
  19. wouldn't be better to try a CIRCULAR director...? imho
  20. How can I lower the VSWR ? ...everything else , seems OKAY...
  21. I'll add the cards with the 8187B , 8187L vs 8187B Not as much signals as the L version but aALL of them INJECTABLES! ·Note that 8187L displays APs with high RSSI but 8187B does not. (APs with high RSSI are usually non injectable) The winner is 8187B by a 15 to 20% margin."
  22. If the micro usb sees 5vdc...it doesn't matters WHERE it came from...and GND off course
