  1. This RF topics are interesting and tempting. I'm pretty skillful in metal work, and well equipped with with basic knowledge in math and physics. I could theoretically build different types of antennae for WI Fi ( 2,4 and 5MHz) bands and use them accordingly, but I will not have a clue about workmanship and quality of the build. Only way to test them is number of AP/Clints connected which is very unprecise. Any mistake will be hard to detect. So I`m asking more experienced and knowledgeable forum members , what set of basic equipment I would need to test and tune the antennas? I`m not speaking about professional level, just basics. Thanks....
  2. Now to widen a story little bit.... The tools (network analyzers) are truly cheap and look very interesting. What king of basic literature could I use to understand standard parameters. I`m not speaking about wave theory here , that I understand well, but about applicable knowledge of basic antenna parameters (gain, SWR, loses, impedance etc...). Any good books or web pages on this topics? preferably on English or Serbian.... I already downloaded CST studio (having little trouble to put that complex application to work, but Ill solve that). The goal was not to run simulations, as I`m not so skilled , but to be able to open .cst files.
  3. Thank you very much.
  4. In any case, unfortunately i doesn't have any means to test the performance accurately. According to simulation Fishtena or Sadrintena, even Haringtena:)))))) have excellent characteristic between 5,7 and 5,9GHz, bur only means i have to prove that will be number of clients/AP connections:)))) Maybe I should supply some test equipment....
  5. Thanks:))) This will be very interesting experiment:))) Requires just several hours and two RP SMA connectors. You may wondering why I`m mentioning two? Because its for the router and the device have pair of plastic omnidirectional 2-3DBi antennas for 5GHz band. I may even put them in MiMo configuration (45 or 135 degrees apart) on plastic board.....
  6. Thank, But it I'll be nice to mark dimensions for the patch. And even the fish cans are almost standard just measure yours:)
  7. Thanks:) As i understood its has around 13DB gain. PS. Your response was fast and sharp:)))
  8. Hi, Its very tempting proposal. Small antenna but high gain. Just two remarks... - Can a build this with N type connector? - Can i use this antenna as main, not as feeder for parabola?
