  1. Please, I need to make an antenna dish feeder (ISP antenna over 1km away), for TCL HH500V router, which supports only N78 antennas (Vodafone Greece 3.4-3.8 GHz), on double TS9 ports. So, looking online tried to calculate a dual polarized patch panel construction, and must know if the attached diagram is good for my construction. The dimensions are on the attached .pdf file. I don't have and I don't know how to simulate this project in a simulator. Could anyone simulate, correct it or suggest something else for this configuration? Thank you. YG: I learned a lot from these posts, thank you all for posting them online. PatcPanel.pdf
  2. You're right. Have to find a solution for this, the problem is that the LMR's are to thick and difficult to turn them, also they don't leave much space behind, I'll find a way to correct this. But I don't understand the "red lines" to "green line" alignment???????
  3. Oufffff, using Cosmote in Greece, it has "linear vertical" polarization. And you see the problem is not the construction correction, the problem is .....re-mounting it!!! Very helpful your suggestion, I learned something more, thank you.
  4. Testing on CST looked like there is not much difference........ In any case thank you for watching, if you can suggest something it's welcome, in any case I upload the CST file for make things easier. FINAL-BESTER-7-5-4-3-HEX.cst
  5. Please explain me, does this affect performance? Should I make the "cuts" on 2nd disk at about 5mm???
  6. Here we are again. So, after received my order from Aliexpress, made this Bester antenna based on admin's suggestions and tested on CST. I ordered pre-cutted brass disks in Dia's 70-50-40-30 (70 at 1mm thikness and the other at 0.5mm), some sma's and also some Hex screws at desired length, with distances at 5,7 and 23mm form 1st to 4th disk. Also ordered 2 pc's of LMR400 at 1m each but it was impossible to fit both on router's T9 ports as the distance is short, so added two smaller cables, not sure about results adding them??? Below I attach a link of some photos of construction, testing with speedtest from any device (laptop via ethernet or mobile via wifi) the download speed was about 80-90Mbps, but it differs duRing day probably because in my village there is only one ISP antenna and it seems to be overloaded. Also it looks like even the SINR is not good, speed is not affected, anyway I'm trying to find a solution for this. Last is to make a cover for antenna protection. Link to PHOTOS

  8. Made one based on Admin's suggestion, from scarp metal that had, not attached yet on a parabolic disk, but seems to work good. Without antenna Ookla Speedtest was about 45-60Kbps, after over 80Mbps, testing from PC's ethernet connection, testing from mobile closed to router was over 100Mbps. Even it is made with bad stuff like thin simple wires and not good soldering as I didn't have some quality materials (I order some from Ali and waiting to go on for a new one), results are enough satisfying. But I don't understand why router shows "red" light and not "green" as it should if signal is good, suppose it is from speedtest, any explanation please or any suggestions? Thank you.
  9. Please Ignore above post, it has been answered.
  10. So, back again after Summer work. Going on constructions and need to know something about a Bester drawing Dual port antenna placement, I attach a plan and want to learn what is the correct placement for the antenna on a satellite disk: Bester.pdf
  11. An antenna with dual polarized, dual ports design, unexpected good results!!! RoundPatch.cst
  12. Hi, don't find a way to do this, please tell me and I'll move it
  13. May the double port cause the lower dbi gain or the whole parts placement, also I did not add a component in this, it's a testing project and someone that knows more than me could modify it
  14. An antenna with dual polarized, dual ports design, unexpected good results!!! RoundPatch.cst
  15. Corrected drawing BesterTEST.cst
  16. Based on pre-cuted brass disks by Aliexpress (also there are copper disks): (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008356725365.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.341d38daIYDifj&mp=1&pdp_npi=5%40dis!EUR!EUR 3.35!EUR 3.08!!EUR 2.92!!!%40211b876717506983783034052ec3c6!12000044708261645!ct!GR!169332860!!1!0 I made the attached antenna based on standard dimensions so that can be easy constructed. I think the results are good enough, but I don't like the farfields output, anybody to check and suggest corrections on it but without changing disk sizes, maybe distances? Hexagonal spacers 6mm, 2XSMA/90 degrees and 30mm from center. BesterTEST.cst
  17. 18. Ignore second image, wrong drawing
  19. According to all Bester plans, please what should be the placement of dual polarized antenna, in vertical position or in a rotation of 30°? Thank you.
  20. Seeking for something similar but no luck, so decided to go on by trying different procedures on design according to this one:https://www.rfelement.com/products-72.html
  21. Thank you my friend, I'm new on CST design but trying to learn by seeking online for help, also continue to design different models and simulate them for knowledge. I liked the Kathrein antenna design that is simple and very stable and trying to make a prototype at 3.5GHz center frequency and a bandwidth of 3.3-3.8 because that is the working 5G area in Greece
  22. OLE, I think getting better by working on CST, that's my new design for a similar to Kathrein element, not so good but looks to work, also if mounted on a parabolic dish, maybe it give much more gain. Now trying to decrease the VSWR KathreinPLAN.cst
  23. Also, I'm trying to simulate a Kathrein antenna element for 3.5Ghz, but results on CST look very bad, I like this Kathrein design and if anybody wants to try making some corrections on this it would be a good antenna to use as dish feeder 4-Planar.cst
  24. I'll try to draw and simulate both of them on CST
