MikroTik

External Dish LTE Antenna 1800MHz ( Band 3 )

I realize, MikroTik SXT RB LTE 3-7 ( I'm using right now ) not support USSD features  but have a nice gain antenna (9 dBi)... in other side, I have 3g/4g modem ( USSD support and have rp-sma ports ) but less signal gain.. so I want to make an external dish lte antenna for my 3g/4g modem.. anyone can give me some advise? thanks in advance

** Dish Antenna 1800MHz only, because in my country, LTE ( 4G ) just using 900MHz and 1800MHz frequency

** Dish model because its my favorite design :)

Made something like this, but the features are not very impressive,...

The reflective hyperbole should be adjustable and its diameter must be d = 0,1317 * D ...!!!!

thanks, i appreciate it...!!! but, i if use reflector from my old tv provider, and replace the LNB to SXT LTE, is it worth ? because my satellite TV is designed for 10GHz frequency ( Q Band ), but we knew LTE using 1800MHz, is any problem in there? can you give me some maths equation for designing offset dish atenna ( for 1800 MHz )... thx in andvance

,,,, wrong, MikroTik SXT RB LTE 3-7 antenna is not in the offset disk focus

why??? I've seen MikroTik 2.4GHz/5GHz is used satellite reflector too? or 1800MHz is special frequency :) ?

what is the most reason of "no", is about Tx Power or something else? may i have the journals/pdf? maybe i can get start to learn about the calculation

Alfa Network is selling relfector offset dish for 2.4GHz ( i have 1, alfa reflector just designed for Alfa radio & UBNT radio, not for SXT, but if replace it to SXT i have more signal gain too), but if i use 5ghz radio ( like ubnt, cambium, sxt, i have less signal gain, I've been replaced to SXT LTE, and less signal gain too) so, is about reflector design? and what is relation about frequency and its design? or maybe offset dish reflector is worthless??? please give me some hints in this offset dish field... thankyou

,,,the gain which can be obtained with a parabolic reflector is proportional to the square of the frequency. If this mirror to 2400 MHz can give such as 21 dBi,for 800 MHz,the gain 9 times (9.5 dB) lower than, i.e. about 11.5 dBi

,,,the strengthening of the parabola is G=e * 4 * pi * S / lambda^2,
where S is the area of the aperture in m2, lambda is the wavelength in meters, e is the coefficient of the use(e- efficiency aperture reaches 55-65%)

,,,for e=77%  => F/D=0,75   where  F=focus of parabola : D=diameter of parabola

Thanks for the explanation.....maybe I can compare between theory and the real practice... :)

Чем ниже частота, тем ниже коэффициент усиления смещение параболы

The lower the frequency, the lower the gain the parabola offset

I'm waiting for components for the system lte1800, which in Russia to publicly show 8 months is not planned....

Here, in 2-3 weeks I will show (link will be for this forum only) .

It will be interesting to hear the opinion admin :)
